My Name is Marcus Politis and I would like to welcome you to Gwynedd’s dynamic range of Disability Sports.
For Wheelchair Users and People with Physical Disabilities we have the following opportunities:-
A coached Wheelchair Tennis Programme, an exiting Shooting initiative to check out, Sports Wheelchairs for badminton use in Bangor & Porthmadog Leisure Centres, there are 2 Boccia Clubs, an Adaptive rowing facility and accessible pools.
VI / Blind Sports We have monthly sailing programme with J80’s and Catamarans. We have a monthly walking programme called Voice Trails with a huge membership base of 30 VI people and there are also tandems available for use on a casual basis. We are hoping to launch another exiting Shooting Initiative with Acoustics in conjunction with British Blind Sports.
Pan Disability – (all disabilities) We have got an Athletics Club, a Bowls Club, Archery Club, Trampolining Club, Fishing Club, Horse Riding Clubs, and a Karate club providing sports for all.
Community Champions: Gwynedd now has 4 Disabled sporting athletes who receive a Gold Cards (free leisure centre use) due to their achievements check out their profiles.

Adult Oudoor Club
Ankolysing Spondilitis Swimming Club specialises for people with a physical disability, For further details on the club please contact Graham Fitch 01248 670778 or Email Graham
Sessions held 7-8pm 2nd and 4th Monday of every month for adults with ankolysing spondilitis
This is a school into community based club that also plays in North Wales Disability Football League.
Free of charge for all age Groups
Every Sunday 12-1pm there is an exclusive disability swimming session on at Bangor Swimming Pool.
For children with autism and aspergers
Pan disability Junior 5-14yrs cost £3 per session
Please note sessions have finished now until late September; start up dates will be announced in August

Juniors: Free Session
Wednesdays 4-6pm (term time)
This is a Junior Youth for Disabled Children which operates on a weekly basis out of Bethesda Youth Club.
Boccia Club for electric & manual wheelchair users
Sessions every Monday 7:30pm - 9:00pm at Canolfan Frondeg, Pwllheli for adults with learning & physical disabilities.

The Bangoroos are Gwynedd’s 1st Clubmark Club
The Bangoroos are a quality assured accredited club that has the highest of standards in providing sports within a fun & safe environment. The sessions run with a minimum of 2 trampoline beds which means the children are not waiting around as much for their turn.
To ensure there is a place for your disabled child / children it is essential for you to register your interest with Isabel hudgel prior to attending any sessions
