The club is affiliated to the Halliwick Association of Swimming Therapy.
The Newtown Otters was formed in 1981. It is a water awareness club, whose aim is to ensure that all members are water happy and are given the opportunity to learn to swim. Club members participate in club galas and social events. Transport to the club uses Dial a Ride Newtown.
The session takes place 8pm until 9pm on Friday evenings.
