The Modern Print Target Club had the official opening of their new range facility at Pennar Community Hall on the 19th August 2010. The evening was attended by Trevor Collins from Modern Print the club’s sponsor, Cabinet Member for Sport and Leisure Rob Lewis, Cabinet Member for Communities and Partnerships Peter Morgan, friends and well wishers who enjoyed the facilities and talking to members about the Club. The Club used this opportunity to present members with trophies they had won during 2010. Angela Miles the disability sports development for Pembrokeshire presented the awards.
The club members won 5 Gold, 8 silver medals in the NSRA Eley national postal competition. The gold medalists Colin Bond, Alan Gibby, Tony Gibby, Ron Hovell and Owen Rosser are invited to the Lords Centre at Bisley Camp on 10th October to shoot at the British finals under the International Sports Federation rules. The Club has 2 new disabled members Michael Lewis and Brian Fagin who both won silver medals. The club also won 23 trophies in the Newport and District Air Rifle league. After the presentation Michael Lewis presented the club with a cheque for£133 raised from various activities. The club has recently receieved a Development Grant from Sport Wales and has now opened its Visual Imapired shooting range.
