Wrexham County Borough Council has a 'DASH' scheme which enables disabled people to access local authority lesiure centre activities for 50% cost and carers/support can enter free of charge. Activities include swimming, swimming lessons, fitness suite, fitness classes and court hire.
Eligibility criteria- need to be in receipt of:-
a) disability living allowance, or
b) attendance allowance, or
c) disability working tax credits
DASH is appropriate for all age ranges
To apply for a DASH card please fill out a pure membership form (available in any Wrexham Council leisure facility) and show proof of eligibility (please see above) with a letter or any appropriate documentation. Each card costs £1 and photographs will be taken in the leisure centres.
